Some countries such as Canada, USA and Japan, use the NTSC TV standard. Video tapes from these countries will not play on the UK PAL TV and DVD equipment, although the videos can usually be played on most computer systems. The cost is £50 per video tape. Extra back up copies of the DVD are just £8 each and are a good idea in case your original DVD copy gets scratched or damaged. We can supply editable files for home editing at no extra charge. These are supplied in place of the encoded DVD (not editable) which we normally give you.

Editable MP4 Computer Files
We convert straight to encoded DVD or for editing on your home computer, AVI files - good for both MACs and PCs. Prices start at £40 for consumer tapes with generous discounts for quanitiies. For NTSC to PAL conversion on professional tapes such as U-matic please email us for a quote.
Editable file sizes can be very large (up to 5 gb/hour) so you will need to supply an external hard drive or large capacity USB stick. We can supply USB sticks at cost on request.
Extra DVDs
Although DVDs last a lifetime without deterioration in quality one scratch or scuff mark will render it unplayable. For this reason we strongly advise you to order an extra DVD back up copy of your NTSC-PAL conversion work - the cost is only £8 per tape and well worth it for absolute eace of mind.
